Tea and Travel in Cheltenham....

hit counter
We enjoy our trips to Cheltenham however, it is currently taking us quite a while to find an eaterie that suits us well.  It was a sadness for us when Boots closed its' smoke free cafeteria down in favour of an area dedicated to dentistry.

We did begin visiting Butlers' for lunch but the smoking areas were too oppressive in their situation  - ie right next to the till and reception area where people would stand to wait to be seated - and smoke just pervaded everywhere despite one area being designated "non-smoking.

However the smoking ban that came into force on 1st July 2007 within England should have made a vast difference and we will certainly revisit Butlers at some point in the future on our next Saturday jaunt to Cheltenham.

Caveat: Our guide is based on our own personal experience/snapshot of a cafe/teashop/restaurant at the time of visiting.  No inference therefore can be taken that the level of service we received on the times visiting was either standard or average.
