Australia

Now WHERE do we begin with our tea rooms hunt in Australia?  We spent four whole weeks in Australia back in August 2001.  To all who do not know.............smoking is largely banned from all eating areas within Australia so you can be assured of smoke free eating anywhere within reason.  That having been said, we DID find that smoking did occur in certain outlying areas in Queensland but our knowledge of Australian law precludes us from saying that it was not legal.

We travelled the Great Ocean Road, spent time in the Barossa Valley, stayed in Cairns and then culminated our trip of a lifetime in Sydney.  Whilst there we particularly remember some great teashop style venues and we have included them here.  With thanks to Lorna our friend in Tanunda who has filled us in on some memory gaps :-) for all venues that are included from the Barossa Valley
