Fluffy feathers puffed with pride
A self-importance glorified.

Piercing chirps the humans hound
Who try to make him stop the sound

Failing that they bash his beak
No good - alas - their nails he'll tweak.

Bashing his mirror he squeeks with delight
Not so do the humans who despair at the site.

The cage door is opened and down he pops
On the shoulder he perches and the noise he makes - STOPS!!
