The Blackbird
|
Solitary she sits
Mesmerised
Beady her eyes
All knowing
All wise. |
Solitary she sits
On three small eggs
Through sun
And rain
A precious task
For life depends
On such as she. |
A solitary nest
Abandoned, left
For why, known not
Broken shell
But one in tact
For life, with hope
has flown for ev'r |
