There have been a number of changes in the Premier League team line-ups. The July averages triggered off a fresh round of musical chairs.
Berwick, as expected have brought in Wesley Waite to their problem reserve slot. Further changes seem likely with Berwick looking to find someone to replace Scott Lamb who seems to be out for the season. Scott Smith also injured may be back sooner rather than later. Workington have signed Adrian Newman released by the Isle of Wight to cover for Barry Campbell at reserve although it is unclear if he has formally been brought into the declared one to seven.
Stoke have re-introduced Paul Macklin at reserve after injury to replace David McAllan, himself badly injured at the Isle of Wight.
The Isle of Wight signed ex-Glasgow rider Richard Juul in place of Adrian Newman to strengthen their flagging botton end.
Arena Essex released Matt Read and brought back Troy Pratt. This enabled Reading to sign Read on loan and replace Per Wester, who had been out injured for some time and seemed unlikely to return.
Reading may make further changes although this depends on an unnamed Elite League rider being released and certainly have the points available.
