The prospects of each of the fourteen Premier League teams have been reviewed using a number of objective measures. These include the strength of the team, the balance, the scoring power of the top-four, the potential for improvement and their likely strength away from home.
This analysis would appear to indicate that the Premier League title will be coming north for another year. The strongest teams appear to be Workington, Sheffield, and Edinburgh in no particular order. Their nearest challengers will probably come from Berwick, Newcastle and Glasgow.
The southern teams all appear to be rather weak. Many of them, along with Hull, suffer from having a former Elite League number one on an unsustainable converted average.
