There was a ten-minute delay, requested by two riders, to assess the weather situation - in other words, see whether it would stop pissing down!
Unfortunately, it didn't, the riders requested that the meeting be called off, and the referee decided that it should be abandoned.
The meeting may be restaged next Sunday- depending on whether the abandoned Sheffield meeting takes place on this date or not.
