Kevin Little
Kevin in action
Kevin started with Glasgow in 1989 and had spells in the top flight with Berwick, Bradford and Coventry as well as a previous stint at Powderhall for the Monarchs. He last appeared for Monarchs in 1995 when he provided cover for the injured Robert Larsen prior to the arrival of Robert Eriksson.
Kevin rode for Berwick in the 1997 season and helped secure a dramatic last heat victory for the Bandits against monarchs in the Premier League Cup Qualifier at Shielfield. He also won the famous heat 15 at Armadale in the League encounter. His average was somewhat low due to a dislike of his home track and actually averaged three quarters of a point higher away than at home.
Of all the away tracks Armadale was probably where he performed best with 15+1 in the League as the high spot. He also won three rides out of four in the Edinburgh fours and tuned in a good performance guesting for Reading in the Cup at Armadale.
He signed on loan from Berwick for 1998 with the the intention of getting a full transfer for the 1999 season.
Kevin was Monarchs most consistent rider in 1998 both home and away with a hatful of double figure scores. He missed only one match for Monarchs in 1998. He was injured in the fours and was not fit for the League Cup Qualifier against Glasgow at Armadale. The highlight of Kevin's season came with his capture of the Silver Helmet from Nicki Pedersen at Newcastle. He successfully defended the Helmet against Craig Watson at Armadale before losing out to Leigh Lanham at Arena Essex.
Date of birth: 24/9/72, The Borders.
