David McAllan

David started out at Linlithgow and Berwick's former track at Berrington Lough. He joined Berwick and impressed with their junior side in 1997 before stepping up to the Premier League in 1998. He made a fair start but was forced out of the team in the reshuffle that brought in David Walsh and James Grieves. He was soon signed on loan by Newcastle and finished the season with them.

David did several meetings for the Berwick Youth Development League Team and scored a maximum at Armadale. His smooth riding style will probably be better suited to Armadale than it was to the big Shielfield Park track.

Although living in the Borders town of Duns, David was born in Edinburgh so he was delighted to be able to join his home town club. With a full season's Premier League action behind him and a green sheet average in excess of 3.00, David is one of the more experienced reserves in the Premier League. The Monarchs promotion are seeking to secure a full transfer for David from Berwick.
