At the Edinburgh Video Show on Saturday it was announced, by John Campbell, that confirmation had been received form an 18-year old rider that he would sign for Monarchs for the 2000 season.
The rider has apparently never set foot in the UK before. The Edinburgh Promotion refused to give any more information 'in case Glasgow had any spies in the room'.
In view of events in recent weeks when Glasgow have failed in bids to lure Ross Brady and Robert Eriksson to Ashfield and succeeded in poaching James Grieves, no announcement will be made until the ink is dry on the contract.
