John Campbell Backs Peter Carr

Monarchs promoter John Campbell is to write to the owners of Owlerton Stadium, A & S Liesure to defend Peter Carr.

Peter was recently banned from Owlerton Stadium following a fraternal 'dispute' with Sheffield co-promoter Louis Carr. This took place in the pits after the Premier League Riders' Championship on September 12th.

The view of the Edinburgh promotion is that Peter was the innocent party. The exclusion followed a 'kangaroo court' at which the only evidence was put by Sheffield's co-promoter Neil Machin. This clearly is in breach of natural justice since Peter Carr has had no opportunity to put his case.

It is sad to see a once great club treat one its former riders in such a way, especially one who performed with such distinction for the Tigers over seven years.

Peter Carr isn't losing much sleep over the incident and stated:

"As far as I'm concerned, it's over and I thought Sheffield should have left it there. I think they only issued the statement to get my name in the magazine. At the moment I feel I have better things to do on a Thursday."
