Kevin Little Update

Kevin Little's wrist injury is now starting to get better. He is definately out of Friday's match against Exeter and also out of the Southern tour commencing Saturday with matches at Stoke, Newport and Exeter.

Kevin is targeting the first-leg fixture on Friday 9th July against Newcastle in the Premier National Trophy for his comeback. The return leg is to be held two days later at Newcastle on Sunday 11th July.

The following guests have been lined-up to ride at Number 3 for Monarchs this weekend:

Brent Werner of Workington has been booked for the home match against Exeter. Brent has always been one of the best visitors around Armadale and has rarely failed to hit a double figure score whether riding for Long Eaton, Newcastle, or Workington. In ten meetings he has scored 97 points plus 4 bonus points in 49 rides with an average of nearly eight and a half points.

Frank Smart of Newport has been selected for the match at Stoke. He scored 9+1 points from four rides at Loomer Road in the Cup earlier this year. Last season he scored 12+1 from 5 rides at Stoke in the Premier League.

Paul Pickering of Stoke will guest at Newport in the Cup on Friday. Paul is scoring well everywhere is year (with the possible exception of Armadale!) after a slow start. At Newport, he scored 15 points from 6 rides in the Cup this year.

Scott Smith of Sheffield will ride at Exeter. He has a reputation as something of a County Ground track specialist although he only scored five points from five rides for Sheffield at Exeter in the Premier League last year. He was rumoured to be a possible target to sign for Exeter a couple of years back.

There is no news yet as to who will ride at Number 6 in place of David McAllan on the Southern tour. Jon Swales will ride at Armadale on Friday.
