Premier League Green Sheets

The new set of Green Sheet Averages for the Premier League have been published by the British Speedway Promoters Association. These became effective on Tuesday 1st June. They were based on all Premier League matches and Premier National Trophy Group Qualifiers up to and including 15th April.

These new averages may trigger-off a fresh round of team changes. Glasgow have alrady brought in Emiliano Sanchez for the injured Scott Courtney and cannot strengthen up until he has obtained a new average. They will be able to bring back Scott Courtney for Stuart Coleman when fit. They may also sign a temporary replacement for Paul Bentley. Berwick are looking to make changes with Alan Mogridge their cheif target after the moves to sign a youug Finnish rider were delayed by call-up papers. Newcastle were looking for changes with Stuart Swales in line for a recall, however his work committments will not permit that at the moment.

Workington have recently signed Barry Campbell. They have brought Geoff Powell back into their 1-7 line-up although he is still injured. Australian Darren Groves has recently signed in place of Wayne Broadhurst. Stoke are also looking for changes especially with Paul Fry and Rob Clarence out for the season with injuries ane Rene Aas struggling for points.

Reading have brought in former Edinburgh rider Jarno Kosonen as a short-term replacement for the injured Marc Norris.

Southern Teams Exeter, Newport, Reading, Isle of Wight, and Arena Essex.
