David McAllan Wins Linlithgow Opener

Linlithgow opened their 1999 Conference League season with an individual event for the Heathersfield Speedway Club Championship. The event was won by Monarchs reserve, David McAllan, who scored a 15 point maximum. The closest challenge came from Newcastle reserve and former Armadale rider, Steven Jones who lost only once to McAllan. Linlithgow captain, Jon Swales came third ahead of Steven McAllister. The Wolves contracted McAllister was the best of the riders without regular Premier League experience.

Of the 15 year olds, Ryan Milburn of Edinburgh was the most impressive. Robert McNeil (Glasgow), of who much was expected, had a horror afternoon falling three times and only finishing one race.

Linlithgow Lintening open their Conference League campaign witha trip to Newport to face the Mavericks on Saturday June 5th.
