Monarchs Change Race Order

Monarchs first Green Sheets for the 1999 season have been published by the BSPA. They became effective for the match against Stoke at Armadale on Friday.

The only real change has been the elevation of Ross Brady to second string with Stewart McDonald dropping to reserve. McDonald moves to number 7 and Brady takes his place at number 4 partnering Kevin Little. Monarchs' promoter, John Campbell sees one drawback:

"It would have been nice to still have Ross at reserve to take seven rides if required. We have had that opportunity so far. However Stewart will be a capable reserve also."

Campbell wasn't concerned that Ross would face some stiffer races at number 4:

"He guested for Berwick last week at number 3 and scored 11 points. If he does that for us in his new role, I'll be delighted."

"Ross believes he can win every race. It doesn't matter to him whether he has a number 7 on his back or a number 4 which he'll be wearing from now on."

The Green Sheet Averages available to date are listed below.

Northern Teams Edinburgh, Glasgow, Berwick, and Newcastle.
Central Teams Sheffield, Swindon, Stoke, and Workington.
Southern Teams Exeter, Newport, Reading, Isle of Wight, and Arena Essex.
