Ross Brady Selected as Wildcard for Under-21 Final

Ross Brady has been selected at the wildcard entry to the British Under-21 Championship Final at his former Peterborough track a week on Friday.

The decision was made by Graham Reeve of the Speedway Control Board after consulting the two referees for the Workington and Isle of Wight Semi-Finals. They agreed that Ross was the most unlucky not to have qualified.

Ross was leading his first race until he made a mistake on the last bend allowing Roger Lobb to go through and win. He won his second race and was leading his third race by a big margin until his ignition lead came off on the last bend. He had a repeat of this ignition problem in the fourth race when leading but crashed this time.

He suffered a shoulder injury and after spending ten minutes in the ambulance, he was released but advised not to risk further injury by taking his last ride.

Ross joins Blair Scott who won the Workington Semi-Final with a 15 point maximum.
