Peter Carr to Return for Berwick Match?

A medical examination has confirmed that Peter Carr is suffering from ligament damage and bruising to his leg injured at Workington. The doctor prescribed two weeks complete rest. Following this advice, Peter has confirmed that he will be back for the Premier National Trophy match against Berwick on Friday.

With his leg still stiff, Peter plans to go to Sheffield on Thursday night for a run out to check if he will be OK to ride on Friday.

It will be the first outing for Berwick this season. Their opening individual fixture, the Karl Friar Memorial Trophy was postponed due to fog last Saturday. This is an all too familiar problem at Berwick. The event has been rescheduled for this Saturday. Former Bandits, Kevin Little and James Grieves, will be in the field for this event. David McAllan was to have ridden last week but will miss the restaging. He will be competing in the British Under-21 Championships semi-final at Workington next Saturday alongside Blair Scott and Ross Brady.

The Berwick team on Friday will include Scott Lamb, Jan Pedersen, Tommy Madsen, David Meldrum, Dean Felton, and Wesley Waite. The second reserve has recently been named as the 35 year old Phil Pickering who has been signed from Buxton.
