Stewart McDonald was facing financial disaster after blowing his engine in practice at Armadale in the official Press and Practise day. He currently does not have the 700 pounds needed to get it fixed for the opening match next week.
McDonald who had no sponsorship to date said:
"It's going to be a race against time to try and get the engine fixed in time for our opening match on Friday. It looks as if I'll have to get it repaired and pay for it in the future."
"I'll need to battle on because I'm all fired up for the season. I feel good and was told I looked good."
Some good news came on Tuesday when a sponsor came forward after the appeal went out in the Edinburgh Pink and on this Web Site.
