Berwick match rained-off

The match against Berwick fell victim to the weather and was called off at 6.30 with the track waterlogged after steady rain.

It had been forecast that the rain would clear but the damage had already been done. The weather was fine in Edinburgh at the time of the call-off but Armadale has its own micro-climate.

Apart from the Pairs at Workington on Saturday and the Scottish Open next Friday, this gives Edinburgh a couple of weeks rest. This will give some time for the injuries to Peter Carr to clear up and for Blair Scott to return from Slovenia.

David Walsh was booked to guest in place of Peter Carr. That would have been his third Armadale appearance for Monarchs in four weeks. David was aso booked for the rained-off match against Workington a month ago.

This rain-off means that Edinburgh remain in fourh place in the Premier League Table.
