Monarchs June averages

The match against Hull not only completed Monarchs Premier National Trophy campaign for 2001 but was also the last match before the cut-off date for the next set of Green Sheet Averages.

The new averages will take effect on 1st June 2001. The new Green Sheets will give a 2001 average to Blair Scott and Christian Henry. Peter Carr, Derek Sneddon, and Jan Andersen have already obtained a 2001 average. Robert Eriksson will retain his 2000 average for a further month as he is yet to complete three away matches although he has started five home matches. René Aas is in a similar position with three home matches but only two away.

The result of the above is that there will be no forced changes in riding order with Peter Carr, Robert Eriksson and Jan Andersen staying at heat leader. Blair Scott will retain his second string place as would René Aas had he retained his place. Christian Henry and Derek Sneddon will stay at reserve, at least until René Aas is replaced.

All riders with a 2001 Green Sheet Average show a healthy increase on the 2000 average (Carr, Scott, Henry), their converted 2000 average (Andersen) or their assessed average (Sneddon). Robert Eriksson remains slightly down on his 2000 average. This is not surprising given his injury and early return when less than fully fit. René Aas is well down on his 2000 average.
