Dougie Templeton to attend Armadale

Dougie Templeton was captain of Monarchs for nine years between 1960 and 1969. This covered the period when Monarchs reopened at Old Meadowbank. The closure of the stadium to make way for the Commonwealth games sent the team on the move to Coatbridge. The Edinburgh Evening News did a where on you now feature on Dougie on Wednesday. The article revealed that after years of staying away from speedway he is set to return to the terraces and hopes to become an Armadale regular. In recent years his involvement in speedway has been restricted to watching Elite League action on Sky Sports.
