Peter Carr and man of the match Robert Eriksson led the charge with a paid and a full maximum respectively. The remaining points were spread around with Kevin Little, Ross Brady, and Will Beveridge were paid for six points each while Blair Scott and Christian Henry each scored five points.
Apart from their reserves, the Islanders all got amongst the points with Ray Morton the pick of the visitors with 13 points from six rides. Richard Juul picked up 4 paid 7 from five rides. Danny Bird impressed in his first two rides but then faded for score of 6 points. Scott Swain, a star last year, was disappoining with 5 paid 6. Newcomer Adam Shields caught the eye with an impressive show for 7 points from five rides.
Edinburgh move back to second place in the table at least until Exeter next ride. The whole table has echos of 1999 wiith Sheffield leading, Edinburgh just behind and Reading at the bottom.
