Edinburgh go down at Exeter

Edinburgh lost at Exeter as predicted but at least managed to break the 30-point barrier going down by 59 points to 31. Monarchs became only the second team after Swindon, to stop Exeter beating 60 points.

Robert Eriksson led the resistance with a creditable 13 points from five rides. He was unfortunately unable to appear for heat 15 due to blowing an engine. Peter Carr scored 8 paid 9 from six rides. Ross Brady, considered a County Ground specialist after two big scores last year, struggled with engine problems and only managed 2 points from four rides.

Monarchs did pick up a few gift points after Exeter riders were excluded or suffered engine failures.
