Christian Henry is out of this Sunday's season opener at Glasgow because his license from the Auto Cycle Union has not yet been issued.
Christian has recieved glowing reports from Australia. He took fifth place in their Under-21 championship and would ceratinly have made the final had he not tried to pass in his last ride when already in a quaifying position. All this plus some assured rides in practise have made his debut eagerly anticipated.
It appeared that this would come at Glasgow on Sunday when he received a late call-up to the preliminary event on the individual season opener. However he is unable to ride until he has a license issued. It appears that this is being held up waiting on a fax from Australia. This is expected to come through on Monday so the license is likely to be issued on Tuesday.
So everyone will have to wait until the Spring Trophy on Friday to see Christian in competitive action.
Christian was happy with his practice session on Friday. He managed to get around the tight track despite suffering from a virus infection.
"I was having fun and I don't think it will take long to find my feet. I think I can adapt my style to the track. I'm just eager for our first match against Glasgow to get underway next Friday."
