Monarchs fans who can't wait until next Friday to see Christian Henry in competitive action should travel through to Ashfield on Sunday to the Norrie Isbister Memorial Trophy (formerly the 'Welcome to 2000' meeting). Christian has just recieved an invitation to compete in the pre-event against the likes of Scott Courtney and Aiden Collins for one of two places in main event. Christian has had a runout at Ashfield last week and found it nearer to what he is used to riding than Armadale. He should stand an excellent chance of progression to the main event.
If he makes it through to the main event he will definately be joined by Robert Eriksson and Blair Scott. The Edinburgh Evening News reported that Ross Brady would be riding but no confirmation has been received so this report may be in error.
However Ross will certainly be in action a week on Saturday at the Karl Friar Memorial individual meeting at Berwick along with Robert Eriksson and Kevin Little. Sean Wilson, Wesley Waite, Bjarne Pedersen, Will Beveridge, and the Bandits will be in the event.
