The Premier League Fixtures were finally published this week in Speedway Star magazine.
Draft fixtures were published in the Edinburgh Evening News at the turn of the year and were reproduced on this website. These had to be changed following the admission of Hull into the Premier League. The Hull home matches presented few problems since no other Premier League club rides on a Wednesday. The away matches had to be accommodated in an already very crowded fixture list.
In addition to the Premier National Trophy group qualifiers and the Premier League fixtures against Hull, the British Under-21 Final had to be accommodated at Armadale.
The disturbing thing about the fixture list is the total absence of reserved days to cover rainoffs, etc. Every weekend has a match scheduled at Armadale apart from reserved dates for the Cup Quarter-Final and Semi-Final. Should Monarchs progress in the Premier National Trophy or suffer from any rainoffs, it is hard to see how the fixtures will be accommodated.
